Customer Services - Adapting to Covid
We would like to thank everybody for their patience and understanding as we all adapt to the changes and challenges in work and life that this pandemic presents.
With Omicron cases continuing to rise, Council’s services and facilities are also being affected by self-isolation situations and positive cases. Whilst we are working hard to maintain our level of service, our staff, contractors, and projects are being impacted by Covid-19 restrictions in the same way our communities are. This means that sometimes our services could take longer than usual to complete or might suddenly change.
Many of Council’s staff are now working remotely. This is part of our continuity plan to make sure we meet our essential services in a worst-case scenario, and to protect the health and safety of our employees, their whānau, and communities.
We prioritise keeping our facilities open and will communicate any changes to this as the situation develops.
