9 February: Bridge Inspections

Scheduled bridge inspections are going ahead, starting 9 February. Our teams will be starting on the following bridges:

🌊 Pongaroa and Coast

7am – 6pm, 9 February 2022 (Week 1):

  • No 2 Longford, Coast Road
  • No 1 Branscombe Road

Keep an eye out tomorrow for the affected bridges on the 10 February, via Facebook and Website.

How will the different bridges be affected?

* 1-lane bridges under inspection will experience 30 - 60 minute delays over the course of this essential work.

* 2-lane bridges will have stop and go traffic management in place and will have minimal disruptions.

The team has contacted school bus operators to ensure they are working around school buses, contacted emergency services so they are aware and delivered letters to affected Makirikiri Road businesses, and residents. Also signage has been erected on Coast Rd Pongaroa.
