A big-ticket item occurring in the first quarter of the year will be seeking your thoughts on our future Water Services Delivery Plan. Following this important consultation we will make our final decision on how we manage our district's drinking water, wastewater and stormwater services under the Government's Local Water Done Well policy.

2025 will see Council consult with you on the Annual Plan 2025/26 (year two of the Long-Term Plan 2024/34).

From July this year, throughout New Zealand, Local Government Elections are being campaigned where we have the opportunity to participate in local democracy and vote. The elections take place in October so if you will be 18 years of age by election day (11 October 2025) and are not yet registered to vote we encourage you to enrol at www.vote.nz so that you can participate in voting.
