Kerbside Recycling - What to look out for
Published 16 Jun 2022
The new Kerbside Recycling service will start next month for all properties that pay urban rates in Dannevirke, Eketāhuna, Pahiatua and Woodville.
Last week the wheelie bins and glass recycling crates were distributed in Eketāhuna and Woodville.
Due to extreme weather conditions during the planned distribution dates of the Kerbside Recycling Bins, their delivery has taken longer than expected. This means that the delivery dates published last week in the Bush Telegraph are incorrect. If you are receiving the kerbside recycling service, you should receive your bin before the 1 July 2022.
There is no need to stay home for the delivery of the bins and crates as they will be dropped off kerbside outside properties.
For information on the North and South collection zones in Dannevirke please refer to the map in last week's Bush Telegraph page, or Council's website under the News section on the landing page.
There will also be information on these collection zones in the information booklet which is distributed together with the crates
and bins.
Please look out for the handy information packet inside the glass recycling crate which includes:
* A booklet with general information, recycling route maps, tips on recycling and collection day information
* A fridge magnet with information on collection days for
your town
* A collection day calendar
Once the kerbside recycling services are up and running please note the collection dates for each town. Dannevirke is split into two zones with different kerbside recyling collections days.
* Pahiatua will be on Wednesday
* Woodville and Eketāhuna will both be on Thursday.
* Dannevirke areas in the North Zone will be picked up on Monday. Areas in the South Zone are picked up on Tuesday.

This information is also available in the information booklets which will be distributed with the bins.
Please note that in some cases the glass recycling crates have been placed inside the wheelie bins.
