The 2024 Tararua District Funders Forum, held on 9 October at the Pahiatua Town Hall, brought together over 100 representatives from local community organisations and 15 funding groups for a night of networking and sharing ideas. Mayor Tracey Collis opened the event, highlighting the importance of working together to support local projects. Councillor Scott Gilmore served as Master of Ceremonies, guiding the evening’s activities.

The forum allowed community organisations to share their initiatives and successes, helping to build a strong sense of community. Participants learned about different funding options and had the chance to talk directly with funders about their projects. An informative panel discussion focused on the importance of checking with funders about eligibility and completing required reporting for future applications.
