It's time for Community Honours nominations
It's time to start thinking about the people in your community who deserve recognition from Council for their voluntary work and help to create a Marvellous Manawatū!
The Manawatū District is full of amazing people who selflessly give up their time to support those around them. This could be through coaching, mentoring, arts and culture, charitable organisations, community programmes and initiatives, or just by helping others with manaakitanga and kindness.
The time has come again to contemplate the individuals who deserve recognition for making a difference in our community. Whether it be through volunteering, service to others, or other acts of self-sacrifice, we want to hear about it!
Since 1991, the Council has annually held the Community Honours awards to publicly recognise our wider whānau, friends and neighbours. We're calling on people to put nominations forward for those who they know are worthy of acknowledgement.
Each nominee must have a first nominator and a second nominator, as well as supporting documentation and testimonials from those who have knowledge of their work and deeds.
Nominations close on Monday, 31 July at 5:00pm.
