Planning

Planning is responsible for preparing Council's environmental plans and strategies. These documents ensure that Council looks after the natural and built environment and assists in achieving the outcomes established with the Long Term Plan and the statutory requirements set out in the Resource Management Act 1991.

You can apply for your resource consent (Land Use, Subdivision, Permitted Boundary Activities and NES Soils) online through our new electronic resource consent system Consents Online.
