Free First Aid training in Feilding
Council’s Emergency Management Team have organised some more free first aid sessions that will help make our community more resilient in the event of an emergency.
These training sessions are coming to in Feilding in November, and will be facilitated by Red Cross (Rīpeka Whero Aotearoa). These sessions are designed to equip you with tools to help yourself, your whānau, your neighbours and wider community during an emergency event.
ESSENTIAL PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID (PFA)
This course is a simple, yet powerful way of helping someone in distress, so they feel calm and supported in coping with their challenges. These challenges can be personal, work related or affect the whole community.
Date: Sunday 6 November 2022
Time: 9:00am until 4:00pm
Venue: Manawatu District Council Office, 135 Manchester Street, Feilding

COMPREHENSIVE FIRST AID (CFA)
This first aid course covers the requirements to administer first aid at work or in an emergency in your community. Upon completion of this course, you will have gained certification in:
- Essential First Aid
- Save a Life and Comprehensive First Aid
You will also gain the following NZQA Unit Standards and Levels.
NZQA Unit Standards: 6402, 6401, 6400– 4 credits
NZQA Level: 6402= Level 1, 6401= Level 2, 6400= Level 3
Date: Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 November 2022
Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm (both days)
Venue: Manawatu District Council Office, 135 Manchester Street, Feilding
