Transfer Stations

All transfer stations and landfills are closed on Christmas Day, New Years Day, Good Friday, ANZAC Day (morning only) and Matariki . On all other public holidays all transfer stations are open for their normal hours of operation.

Note:  Council does not provide kerbside rubbish collection.

Note: At the Dannevirke Transfer Station, all domestic and green waste is no longer charged by vehicle or load size - it is now charged by weight. The weight is calculated by weighing all vehicles (including trailers) in and out of the facility, you will be charged on a per-tonne basis for the weight of the rubbish and green waste dropped off at the site.
