Suppliers are on site carrying out the repairs to Dannevirke's water reservoir. They have opened the liner and confirmed the sources of the leaks at locations expected, following the remotely operated underwater vehicle inspections. While weather issues have impacted progress onsite, Council is hopeful that required fixes can be made over the next week, enabling the dam to be filled as soon as possible. Thankfully we have not, as yet, had to completely empty the dam for repairs to be completed, which is currently around 4 metres full.

Current water restrictions will remain in place for the immediate future and will be reviewed over the coming months, with decisions on escalation /de-escalation of restriction levels made as required.
