Literacy Planet is a free online platform for children aged 4 to 12, promoting self-paced learning and building literacy skills through reading, storytelling, and gamification.
You will need an MCHL membership number to access Literacy Planet. If you're not a MCHL member, join online for free.

Important Update: Access to LiteracyPlanet will no longer be available from 1 July 2025.

First thing you will need to do is Sign up.
1. Children must have an adult assist them in completing the sign-up process. Additionally, it is possible to register multiple children simultaneously.
2. Fill in child and adult/guardian details.
3. Library* please select Manawatū District Libraries.
4. Barcode, please use your MCHL card number.
5. Email address is required.
You will have a username, along with a password for convenient access.
