Paws for Reading
Children can enjoy Paws for Reading on Monday afternoons at Te Āhuru Mōwai from 3:30pm to 4:30pm throughout the school term.
Are your children struggling with reading? Do they feel nervous about making mistakes? We have the perfect solution! Come to our Reading to Dogs sessions, where children can read aloud to a friendly, non-judgmental dog.
In a relaxed and supportive environment, children will have the chance to read for 15 minutes to one of the Canine Friends Pet Therapy dogs, helping to boost their confidence and literacy skills. Studies show that reading to dogs can reduce anxiety and improve reading fluency.
We offer a range of children's activities suitable for all age groups. Click here to view on our events calendar.
