Free Fun for The Whole Family is Back!

The highly anticipated Family Fun Day is returning for its third year, hosted by Manawatū Community Hub Libraries, on Sunday, 16 March, from 10:00am to 1:00pm. This year’s event will take place at the spacious Victoria Park, in Feilding.

A move designed to accommodate the growing crowds and offer a more enjoyable experience for all attendees. The new location provides more parking, better access to the park, and centrally located toilets, all aimed at making the event smoother and more accessible.

Marie Willis, one of the event organisers, shares, “We were amazed at the number of attendees that supported the initiative in year one, and year two wasn’t any different. It reinforces the value our community places on events like Family Fun Day.”

This year’s event promises to be bigger and better, with a wide array of fun activities for the entire family. As always, Family Fun Day is completely free, thanks to the generous donations of goods, services, and volunteers. Visitors can look forward to favourite attractions such as inflatables, popcorn, soft play equipment, balloon blasters, and more.

Additionally, the event will feature booths from local community groups and clubs, offering an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn about organisations, join local clubs, or get involved in the community. With over thirty local clubs and organisations taking part, there’s something for everyone.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and the strong sense of community, Family Fun Day is set to be an unforgettable experience. Whether you're looking to enjoy a day of family fun, discover new community groups, or simply relax in the park, this free event is one you won’t want to miss.
