Gambling Venues

The Manawatu District Council has a current Gambling Venues Policy (PDF file, 911.0 KB) adopted by Council on 18 September 2014, and last reconfirmed in November 2024.

Its purpose is to:

• Control the growth of gambling
• Prevent and minimise the harm caused by gambling
• Facilitating responsible gambling
• Facilitating community involvement in decisions about the provision of gambling
