    Council Contractors

    All contractors and subcontractors working on behalf of Manawatū District Council must be health and safety pre-qualified before starting any work or submitting a tender, if applicable. Pre-qualification applies to any service provider offering services to Council.

    Manawatū District Council accepts pre-qualification through SiteWise, Tōtika, or Impac. If you hold a current certificate from Tōtika or Impac, please provide it to Council.

    SiteWise

    SiteWise is managed by Site Safe NZ Inc. It assesses a contractor’s health and safety systems, benchmarking them against best practices. The SiteWise database helps Council review contractor Health & Safety compliance and competence independently when selecting suppliers.

    How to become pre-qualified with Manawatū District Council

    To begin the pre-qualification process, please email healthandsafety@mdc.govt.nz with the following:

    • Contractor name
    • NZBN
    • GST number
    • Contact person
    • Contact phone number
    • Pre-qualification certificate (if using Tōtika or Impac)

    Once received, you’ll be invited to register with SiteWise.
