LGOIMA Request Details: LG1995
Date received: 20/05/2021
Requested information: Psychometric testing in recruitment
Status: Complete
Date responded: 25/05/2021
Response:
Specifically I would like to request the following:
1) The details of any psychometric testing undertaken as part of staff recruitment, training, resourcing or outsourcing — including as undertaken by outside recruitment firms.
We do not use psychometric testing for any aspect of staff employment. We do use other profiling tools, such as Belbin Team Roles and DISC, for training and development purposes within the organisation. We use work sample assessments in our recruiting to provide information about how an applicant might perform in the role.
1a) Details including: the types of psychometric test undertaken; copies of the test(s) themselves; statistical distributions of results; information about the staff tested broken down by role, and including designation decisions made upon receipt of the tests; & organisational guidelines and communication pertaining to the analysis of results.
N/A
1b) Names of all and any companies used to provide psychometric testing, including subcontractors used by outsourced recruitment agencies.
N/A
2) All documents and communications pertaining to: decisions made to introduce or modify psychometric testing regimes; initiate use of results in a particular way or change the use of results.
N/A
2a) All documents and communications pertaining to financial costs of psychometric testing broken down by year, and including names of entities that psychometric testing related transactions occurred within this breakdown.
N/A
3) Any documentation or communication pertaining to any cost/ benefit analysis taken to: introduce; modify; or make decisions taking into account the results of psychometric testing.
N/A
As a time frame for this LGIOMA, please consider the last two years for the substantial bulk of collection and collation. However, as l am hoping to gather some information about the long term trends of psychometric testing, I would like to request that a short contextualising statement/ summary pertaining to the spirit of 2) be included, with the last ten years as the scope of reference.
I would also welcome any other comment or other relevant information that pertains to the spirit of this LGIOMA.

Requested information: District Housing Statistics
Status: Complete
Date responded: 12/05/2021

I was wondering whether there were any publicly available reports on your area's Housing statistics; in particular, current supply and demand statistics for housing in your city.
Please see attached Housing Stocktake Report. This report was prepared for Council, so if you refer to it please cite it to ‘Manawatu District Council. (2021). Manawatu District Housing Stocktake – December 2020. Council documents 18 March 2021. Received 7/05/2021 [www.mdc.govt.nz].
In particular, building consent issuances of household units over the past few years, and how many of those got built. Also, is there a list of Building consent and Resource consent issuances that you publicly produce that I can take interest in.
We have prepared theses as the following
Attachment B – Building Consents Issued Dwellings and Relocates May 2019 – May 2020
Attachment C – Code Compliance Certificates Issued Dwellings and Relocates May 2019 – May 2020
Attachment D – Resource Consent Applications May 2019 – May 2020
A monthly report is generated for Building consents issued and is available on our website.
As the documents referred to above are quite large, we are sending you a link to them. This link will expire in 7 days, so we suggest you download and save them.LGOIMA Request Details: LG1990

If the answer to this question is "yes", please advise what further action your council resolved to take.
