No. 1 Line Longburn & Karere Road RIAWS

It is proposed to introduce a 'Rural Intersection Activated Warning Signs' system, known as RIAWS, to the No. 1 Line Longburn and Karere Road intersection.

The RIAWS system will activate a variable speed limit of 60km/h if vehicles approaching this intersection along Karere Road are detected.

When there is no traffic on Karere Road, the original speed limit remains in place to facilitate smooth and timely journeys.
