| Response: | Our elected members discussed Workshops and other Briefings on 02 May 2024, in response to the Ombudsman’s “Open for Business†report of October 2023. It was agreed to maintain the status quo; that Workshops and other Briefings will not be open to the public unless specific reason exists to do so. It was also agreed that moving forwards, officers and elected members would apply more scrutiny to what types of matters will be presented to open Council meetings instead of Workshops and other Briefings, in order to better align with the principles of transparency discussed in the Ombudsman’s report. |
