LGOIMA Request Details

We understand you are seeking documentation confirming the incident and the actions taken by Animal Control. 

Following a review of our records, we can confirm that Animal Control received a complaint regarding a dog attack involving your daughter at the property located at 97 Te Arakura Road, Feilding, on 03/01/2023. The dog involved was a Border Collie. 

The investigating Animal Control Officer, Mark Power, recorded the following details: 

• "Complainants daughter (8 years) bitten whilst climbing fencing onto dogs property. minor abrasions." 

• "Complainant does not wish any negative actions to be taken." 

• "Spoke with owner very apologetic. both parties have decided that all access must be through main gate. No further action taken." 

Based on this information, the complaint was resolved with an agreement between yourself and the dog owner regarding access to the properties via the main gate. No further action was deemed necessary by Animal Control at that time, due to the resolution reached between the parties involved and the complainant's wishes.
