Bringing a Wave of Fun to Family Fun Day!
Who says the Makino Aquatic Centre (MAC) fun is only for the pool? This Sunday, 22 March, from 10am – 1pm, the MAC team is taking the splash to Victoria Park, Feilding, bringing water themed fun to Family Fun Day! Families can chat with the team about swim school, try a fun interactive pool noodle game, and enter to win a prize pack by simply leaving their name and contact details no swimming required.
“Family Fun Day is a fantastic way to engage with our community and show that water safety can be fun,” says Renee Dunbar from MAC. “We can’t wait to meet everyone, play a game and offer some helpful swimming advice.”
MAC will also have copies of their What’s On booklet, along with brochures for upcoming activities including their April School Holiday programme and information about their popular Dogs in Togs 2026 yearly event.
On Sunday, 19 April, pups can splash safely in the chemical free outdoor 50 metre pool, with session times for small, medium, and large dogs. Owners are welcome to join in (heads above water, of course), and all dogs must be registered and vaccinated. Tickets are $6 per dog, for more information and to register visit Dogs in Togs.
This Sunday’s Family Fun Day is a completely free event at Victoria Park and is hosted by Manawatū Community Hub Libraries, Manawatū District Council, with support from Central Energy Trust. Come along and enjoy inflatables, entertainment, tasty treats, giveaways, and a chance to meet local community groups.
Bring the whole whānau and stop by the MAC table for a wave of fun.

Now in its fourth year the Manawatū community is invited to come together for Family Fun Day. This much-loved event is completely free and open to everyone.
